I follow a channel on youtube called "They Will Kill You", which talks about tragic events dangerous things. They recently posted a video about the Syrian refugee crisis. Nothing wrong with the video, but the comments are fucking disgusting. These are word for word what some people said.
"Those cowards need to fight their own wars instead of hiding in other countries"
"I still don't feel sorry for them"
"all i can say is fuck em. return to sender! we dont want you."
"These fucking "refugees" are everywhere in the Paris metro. Begging for money and stealing from people. They are absolute trash."
That's just a small sample of the shit I read.
What the FUCK is wrong with you cowards? These are innocent people who desperately need our help, and you can't do so much as pretend to be sympathetic? They shit these people have gone through would have mostly likely killed you. But no, because they're Muslim, fuck them, right? God, I hate people.
I just want people to show compassion to each other. I hope that in the future, we look back at this issue realizing how ignorant and cruel we were for saying things like this.
If by any chance one of my followers is a Syrian refugee, Muslim, or both, know that you have an ally in me. And also know that I wish we didn't live in such a divided world.
